ELM Massage
ELM or Energy Line Massage involves working on the body’s energy lines. In Thailand, these are called Sen lines.
Most Asian massages are based on the concept that there is a system of energy pathways in the body. When these are blocked, symptoms of ailments occur and health problems arise.
Unblocking this energy flow results in better health. There are 16 major energy lines and this type of Thai massage is based on the importance of balancing and improving the energy flow in the body.
Working with energy lines
There are different ways to work with energy and energy lines, ELM massage uses pressure along the Sen lines.
There are six main energy lines in the legs, six main lines in the arms and four main lines in the back, along with several lines in both hands and feet. To work those lines effectively, a large amount of pressure is needed. Pressure is applied with the thumbs, palms, elbows and in some cases with the feet.
Energy line work, besides being a science, is considered an art in Thai massage. It requires a refined sense of touch, a well-developed intuition and a sound theoretical knowledge.
ENERGY LINES MASSAGE COURSES
Mue-Thong offers a unique ELM path to reduce or even eliminate long-term pain symptoms. A course chosen that gives the body no chance of returning to the old tension or blockage.
The ELM course is an intensive process with multiple massage appointments (95 minutes) in a short period of time.
Depending on your complaint and your posture the massages are every other day or with a maximum of 3 or 4 days in between.

it is important to have a consultation with your masseuse in the salon beforehand. This is to see if this form of massage suits you and your body, also to determine how many massages you need to reduce or even eliminate your pain.
